Thoughts: I tried it and it works well! Smooth for basic workflows but probably not a game-changer in the crowded assistant space. - **HeyGen’s Video Agent**News: HeyGen launched a Video Agent that generates videos from prompts, automating story, voice, and editing.
Thoughts: HeyGen’s early lead in AI video is fading. This feels like a catch-up move, solid but not groundbreaking. They need a unique edge to stand out. - **Black Forest Labs’ FLUX.1 Kontext [Dev]**News: Black Forest Labs open-sourced FLUX.1 Kontext [Dev], a 12B parameter image editing model for consumer hardware.
Thoughts: This is huge. FLUX.1’s editing precision is phenomenal, and our upcoming image model for AI Actors will build on this momentum.

Bug Fixes for Emote and AI Actors: Thanks to your feedback, we’ve squashed bugs reported last week affecting emote and actor functionalities. These fixes improve stability and ensure smoother rendering of AI-driven characters, so your videos look polished every time.
Enhanced Video Generator: We’ve cranked up our video generator’s performance, and users are raving that it outperforms Google Veo 3 in quality and prompt adherence. That’s huge for us to hear. Whether you’re creating e-commerce ads or cinematic brand films, our generator delivers sharper visuals and better alignment with your creative vision. Try it out and share your creations with us!
Upcoming Features:
- Custom Voice System: Launching soon, our proprietary voice system will offer infinite customizable voice options, starting with English. Unlike our current ElevenLabs-based system, this will give you unparalleled control over tone, pitch, and style, making your videos feel even more authentic. We’ll continue supporting ElevenLabs for non-English languages to keep global accessibility intact. Stay tuned for the release date!
- Emote 2.0: Our current Emote offering sucks and is outdated. We’re working to change that. Our next-gen character animation feature is almost here. Emote 2.0 lets you animate two characters in a single scene with precise dialogue control, perfect for dynamic storytelling in ads or tutorials. This upgrade will make your videos more engaging and lifelike, setting a new standard for AI-driven character interactions.
