Privacy Policy

Last Updated: April 2, 2025

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy describes how Webinci Tech Private Limited ("Vinci," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information about you when you use our Vinci AI Studio platform and related services (collectively, the "Service"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your data transparently. By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

2. Information We Collect

We collect several types of information to provide and improve our Service:

  • Account Information: When you register, we collect information such as your name, email address, company name (if applicable), and password.
  • Payment Information: We use Paddle as our third-party payment processor. When you subscribe to a paid plan, Paddle collects your payment details (e.g., credit card number, billing address). Vinci does not directly store your full payment card information. We receive transaction confirmation and subscription status from Paddle.
  • User Content: We collect the content you upload to the Service, including text scripts, images, audio files, and other materials necessary for video generation ("User Content").
  • AI-Generated Videos: We store the videos generated through the Service ("AI-Generated Output") associated with your account.
  • Usage Data: We automatically collect information about how you interact with the Service, such as features used, videos created, credits consumed, IP address, browser type, device information, operating system, and access times.
  • Cookies and Tracking Technologies: We use cookies and similar technologies (e.g., web beacons, pixels) to operate and personalize the Service, analyze usage, and manage sessions. You can control cookie preferences through your browser settings.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information for various purposes:

  • To provide, operate, maintain, and improve the Service.
  • To process your subscription payments via Paddle.
  • To generate AI videos based on your User Content.
  • To personalize your experience and provide customer support.
  • To communicate with you about your account, service updates, and promotional offers (you can opt-out of marketing communications).
  • To monitor and analyze usage trends and service performance.
  • To ensure security, prevent fraud, and enforce our Terms of Service.
  • Model Training: We do not use your specific User Content or AI-Generated Output to train our general AI models unless we obtain your explicit, separate consent. We may use aggregated, anonymized usage data and feedback to improve the underlying AI technology and overall Service performance.

4. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information in the following limited circumstances:

  • Service Providers: With third-party vendors and service providers who help us operate the Service (e.g., cloud hosting like AWS/GCP, payment processing via Paddle, analytics providers like Google Analytics, customer support tools). These providers are contractually obligated to protect your data and use it only for the services they provide to us.
  • Legal Requirements: If required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Vinci, our users, or others.
  • Business Transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of all or a portion of our assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to standard confidentiality agreements.
  • With Your Consent: We may share your information for other purposes if we have obtained your explicit consent.

5. Data Security

We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical security measures designed to protect your information from unauthorized access, use, alteration, or disclosure. These measures include encryption (both in transit and at rest where feasible), access controls, regular security reviews, and staff training. However, no internet transmission or electronic storage method is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Your Data Rights and Choices

Depending on your location and applicable law (such as GDPR or CCPA), you may have certain rights regarding your personal information:

  • Access: You can request access to the personal information we hold about you, often available through your account settings.
  • Correction: You can request correction of inaccurate personal information we hold about you.
  • Deletion: You can request deletion of your personal information, subject to certain legal exceptions (e.g., data needed for billing records or legal compliance). Deleting your account will result in the deletion of associated User Content and AI-Generated Output according to our data retention policies.
  • Opt-Out: You can opt-out of receiving promotional emails by following the unsubscribe instructions in those emails.

To exercise these rights, please contact us at team@tryvinci.com. We may need to verify your identity before processing your request.

7. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to provide the Service, fulfill the purposes outlined in this policy, comply with our legal obligations (e.g., tax and accounting requirements), resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. User Content and AI-Generated Output are typically retained while your account is active and may be deleted after a period of inactivity or account closure, as described in our Terms of Service.

8. International Data Transfers

Your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in countries other than your own, including India and potentially others where our service providers operate. These countries may have data protection laws that differ from those in your jurisdiction. We take appropriate safeguards to ensure your information remains protected when transferred internationally.

9. Children's Privacy

The Service is not intended for or directed at children under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If we become aware that we have collected such information without parental consent, we will take steps to delete it.

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new policy on this page, updating the "Last Updated" date, and/or providing notice through the Service or via email. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
